Kids aged 8-17 in Kenya are invited to join the Youth Climate Justice project. Led by researchers from University College Cork, Ireland, this project aims to understand children and young people's climate actions and their impact on children's rights globally.
The project will analyze legal actions taken by children and young people regarding the climate crisis, explore ways to make legal systems more accessible to them, and examine how their leadership in climate action shapes the understanding of children's rights.
To ensure the research is child-friendly and inclusive, a Young Advisory Team will be formed. This team will help design research activities, provide input on communication strategies, and represent the project at global climate events.
The Advisory Team will work from June 2024 to June 2025, with monthly online meetings primarily conducted in English and supported by interpreters for other languages. This is a great opportunity for budding climate justice activists in Kenya. Apply HERE
