The fifth edition of the Swahili Fashion Week will go underway in Kenya’s capital Nairobi with the first of overall four events, when the Nairobi Showcase takes place on the 30th August this year.

The entrance of the Michael Joseph Centre was buzzing with frantic crew coming in and out, VIPs stepping out of their fancy cars, disgruntled guests hanging around trying to get in (the tickets had supposedly sold out), and irritating ushers at the door who can never find your name on the guest list. It was a real fashion show!
