Nairobi’s monthly Blankets & Wine music festival is definitely the new caviar on my old toast. I went along to the Mamba Leisure Gardens last Sunday and felt like I was in Milan, but a funky, Afro-Fusion version of the Italian city of fashion.

If the chilly weather is getting you down, you could do worse than brew up a cup of chai and take some time out to listen to the haunting, soul-soothing sounds of the Kenyan Boys Choir.  As the pure harmonies fill your ears, you can ponder the musical rags-to-riches story that lies behind the formation of a group that has come to be known as “Barack Obama’s favourite choir.”

Proving to be at the top of his game, Gavin DeGraw returns this week with his fourth studio album, Sweeter. The singer-songwriter sought to expand and experiment with his sound this time around. He decided to change it up by working with co-writers for the first time. The album's underlying theme really just boils down to honesty, which is simply compelling. This is a very revealing, yet vulnerable side that we haven't experienced from DeGraw on his previous albums. This album will touch you due to its  wide range of variance

Songstress, LIRA is back with her fourth studio album, titled Return To Love. She explained the reason for the title as “My first album was titled ALL MY LOVE and it was an album that initially caused some heartache for me.
