He has participated in various fashion events including the Couture Fashion Week in Paris which led to his nomination as top 10 emerging designers in the FIMA: Afrique est la mode pan African fashion contest which was held in Niamey, Niger.
His impressive portfolio has had him travel to showcase his collection around the world including Europe, Asia and across Africa. One of his numerous achievements include being nominated as a finalist in the Marie Claire emerging designer contest in 2007 and 2008. Thula’s style which is effortlessly elegant has attracted several South African celebrities who he dresses.
