Anjali Saini has over fifteen years industry and consulting experience on a diverse range of issues in environmental management, energy efficiency and sustainable tourism.  She runs a small consulting practice specialising in these areas and providing services to the private sector.  

Sharon holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Environmental Management.  She has 17 years of experience in environmental management including environmental policy, environmental and social impact assessments, audits, health, safety, risk assessment and natural resource studies.  Most of her experience is in environmental consulting and in Africa.

Her current areas of work are in payment for environmental services (PES), monitoring environmental indicators, the potential of carbon credits for smallholder farmers, climate change, renewable energy and environmental sustainability in the drylands of Eastern Africa.  Sharon actively supports the e-group mazingira (environment).  Sharon’s environmental philosophy is that ‘Africa can leapfrog the mistakes of the developed world and bemore sustainable’.
