I’d like to thank everybody for their continued support over 2011, for visitors bringing friends and family to the project and talking about the work we are doing. We are so grateful for your time and thoughts.

The City Mall on the Mombasa-Malindi Road, formerly known as The Nyali Mall, managed to open part of it's shopping areas just before Christmas, but there were still a few boarded up shops left to tantalize the locals.

I would like to start by wishing you all compliments of the year for 2012. Let's hope it is a peaceful and productive year for us all.We all had a good festive season here in Malindi and perhaps it was too good on my side and hence the lack of updates!! We were very busy throughout Christmas and the New Year and thankfully the good fishing continued most of the time.

Oh yes – it is time for that most crazy of holidays – Christmas!  To all on the coast, my traditional yuletide warning – and it’s not ‘don’t overindulge’, it’s not even ‘a Turkey is not for life, it’s for Christmas'.

All is well here in Malindi and thankfully Kenya Sport Fishing have just had our busiest week of the season with our whole fleet fishing for four days in a row.

The annual Lamu Cultural Festival came to a close yesterday with every available bed booked up by locals, said to comprise over 75 percent of the hotel bookings but also by overseas tourists, who had defied the blanket anti travel advisories and flown, boated and drove to this ancient Swahili township.
