Betty Vanetti is a Kenyan fashion designer who runs her own fashion label. She has had seventeen years experience in fashion design and has handled wardrobe in the theatre, film, and television industry. Her designs have evolved over the years and now possess costume attributes in their refreshing femininity. Kenyan Fashion designer John Kaveke studied fashion in Kenya and Spain. In Spain, he worked as a designer for other fashion labels for four years before he decided to start his own clothing label. His style is contemporary with an edge and he uses leather, denim, linen and maasai beads in his creations. Kofi Ansah, this year’s FAFA Chief Designer is a celebrated Ghanian designer formerly based in London. Ansah studied design at Chelsea in the United Kingdom and graduated with first class honors.

The silence of the African night was suddenly shattered by the eerie cries of some peacocks, waking me from my sleep in the deep of the night.
