Our September weather this year has been very unusual. Instead of the normal sunny spring-like days as we break away from the cloud and cold of July and August, this year saw many days very August- like interspersed with the odd day or two of hot sun. This has affected the little spring flower display that we normally get at this time of year and now we are into the hot, cloudless days of October.

Roses Galore Ltd and Plants Galore Ltd. Celia Hardy, born and educated in Kenya, commenced a career in horticulture in 1990 working with various nurseries and landscape companies. In 1999 she opened her own landscape company, Roses Galore Ltd, which now employs 70 staff and has completed many projects both large and small, for industries, hotels and lodges, government institutions and private residences. In 2008 a second company was formed, Plants Galore Ltd, to cater for the growing demand for quality plants of more unusual varieties and species, retailing through a high class garden centre. For this venture an undeveloped plot was purchased in the Kigwaru Estate, adjacent to Runda, and landscaped to suit the display of plants and pots for sale, with an adjacent shop for selling many other gardening items. Both these companies continue to grow and are both rated as one of the best in the country. Plants Galore Garden Centre Directions: Use the Limuru Road from Muthaiga and continue past the Village Market and the turning into Runda. 200 m beyond the Runda turning take the murram track on the right hand side, where there is a Plants Galore sign board. After the bridge over the river fork right; the Centre is 100 m on the right. You can’t miss it! Telephone: 020 2446103 or 0773 612589 Email: info@rosesgalore.co.ke

People who least need this product are the only people who have access to it; and the people who can most afford it are those that least need it. And to boot, the cost of the product may be very expensive, but in reality it is not expensive enough. Because if the costs to the environment (i.e. true costs of clean up and recycling) were included in the product costs, it would make the economics unsustainable. Perhaps a small bottle of this product would cost as much as a glass of Veuve Cliquot.
