Football in Kenya – Who’s Who And What’s What 19 Jul 2011

Lifestyle

The Beautiful GameKenyan football has had its share of ups and downs. Corruption scandals, bitter infighting between football institutions, sub-standard facilities and poor performance by the national team Harambee Stars have blighted the sport. However, the passion for the beautiful game burns fiercely with many Kenyans supporting their local team and an English Premiership club – the favourites here are Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.  And of course, there is McDonald Mariga, the first Kenyan to win the Champions League. At the time of writing he is still playing for Italian Serie A club Inter Milan, although there is speculation that he is looking to move.

Amy grew up on a game farm in Indiana, USA so her lifelong association with animals started at a very early age. Her horses ran with the zebra, camels, buffalo and llama. Amy’s family bred and raised working Australian Shepherds. Extravaganza World Music Festival - Potentially An EPIC Night Out!!!! 11 Aug 2011

Lifestyle

Having recently returned to Kenya after quite some time overseas, I was looking to immerse myself in Nairobi’s happening nightlife scene. I would like to think that I have been somewhat successful, mainly in the Westlands’ area. But now, after many nights spent visiting the usual haunts and bumping into the same inebriated faces (and the token over-50, leery bar-hugger) every time, I have to admit it’s getting tedious. My friends and I have settled into a routine that reminds me of  the Artic Monkeys’ lyric “remember when the bars were all electric.”

'Teen Wolf' Review 19 Sep 2012

Lifestyle

When I first heard of The Vampire Diaries, I told anyone who would listen just how much I hated twilight and couldn’t be compelled to watch a syndicated version. But because of second hand exposure by an ex-girlfriend and an obsessive younger sister, I found myself ALSO addicted to the post teen chronicles of a disturbed girl with a vampire boyfriend and, slightly hotter than her, witch best friend. So when news broke that another teen supernatural romance series was set to be released based on werewolves my interests were poked.

Arrow Series Review 08 Feb 2013

Lifestyle

My least favorite DC comics’ character (after The Spectre) has once again weaseled his way onto television. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) is perhaps the most pointless of all the DC heroes.
