Security

The crime and security situation in Kenya is complex and ever-changing and it's difficult to get an accurate big picture of what is happening. Here are some resources to tap into.

US government and UN employees get security updates through email from their security offices. Ask a friend working for one of these agencies to forward this information to you.

If you are an expat, check whether your embassy offers any security updates.

Sign up to receive security newsletters about Kenya from the Overseas Security Advisory Council: www.osac.gov or from Reuters www.alertnet.org.

To receive email updates on latest security issues in Kenya, send an email to Kim Edmunds, from Glen Edmunds Performance Driving School at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and ask her to add you to her database.  She compiles information from the above sources to alert residents of trends, hotspots, etc.
