Roses Galore Ltd and Plants Galore Ltd. Celia Hardy, born and educated in Kenya, commenced a career in horticulture in 1990 working with various nurseries and landscape companies. In 1999 she opened her own landscape company, Roses Galore Ltd, which now employs 70 staff and has completed many projects both large and small, for industries, hotels and lodges, government institutions and private residences. In 2008 a second company was formed, Plants Galore Ltd, to cater for the growing demand for quality plants of more unusual varieties and species, retailing through a high class garden centre. For this venture an undeveloped plot was purchased in the Kigwaru Estate, adjacent to Runda, and landscaped to suit the display of plants and pots for sale, with an adjacent shop for selling many other gardening items. Both these companies continue to grow and are both rated as one of the best in the country. EABL and SAB Miller move on 09 Jun 2011


The late 1990s saw a bitter marketing battle between Kenya’s East African Breweries and South Africa’s SAB Miller, after the latter started brewing in Kenya in 1998. But an agreement reached in 2002 saw the companies settle the turf dispute by taking a 20% stake in related companies: East African Breweries (EABL) in SAB’s Tanzania operations, and SAB in Kenya Breweries.

A teenage girl was left on the side of a deserted road at 4:00 am in the Karen/Langata area by her taxi driver. She couldn't remember exactly where the house she was staying at was located, and the taxi driver tired of trying to find the location and made her get out of the car. Luckily, another friend of hers that lived in the area answered her phone call and came to her rescue. Please educate your teenage children about the importance of using reputable taxi companies.
